Who doesn't love all of the beautiful spring blossoms during this time of year? I just wish we had a few more days of sunshine to enjoy them before the wind and rain blow all of those beautiful petals away. Here are a few spring blossom sightings from around my neighborhood. The last one is of my little sweetie. I have to admit it's from last year but I just had to share it.

Last Sunday we spent the day at the horse track. I love going to the races, there is so much to take in, the strength and beauty of the horses, the colorful attire of the jockeys, and the abundance of entertaining people watching, makes it just my cup of tea. Here are some pictures from the day. They are quite horse heavy but I can’t help myself, these creatures are such stunning specimens and I am always in awe of their stunning beauty. The way their muscles move and the massive size of some of these creatures is just breathtaking. I hope you enjoy a peek at our day at the races.

The number 2 horse over there was one of the most gorgeous horses I have ever laid my eyes on…Absolute stunning power and beauty.

My husband has one rule at the track-“Never bet on the grey horse”.

Every Tuesday my youngest cousin comes over to our house before and after school. My kids love it so much they have renamed Tuesdays “Carson Tuesday”. One thing I love about “Carson Tuesdays” is the fact that when my kids get out of school we have about 20 minutes before Carson’s school is out. Since his school is just down the road we have time to sit in the car together and just talk about their day at school sometimes Liv has a new book she wants me to read. All that to say, I love these times when I have their full attention.
This week as we sat in the car waiting for Carson to get out of school, I noticed a caterpillar on the hood of my car. The kids just had to check it out of course. I remember when I use to love these things. They aren’t my favorite anymore, but I still love to look at them. They sure are fun to photograph as well.

On the second day of our little weekend getaway in the mountains we took the kids inner-tubing down Ski Hill. Boy, did they have a blast! The snow was coming down like CRAZY! I wish I could have taken more pictures but my camera was getting too wet.
Hold on to your hats, it's going to be a bumpy ride....

I wasn't able to post over the weekend due to the fact I was in the city with my favorite girls for our annual girl's Christmas weekend. We spent the entire two days shopping, talking, eating, talking, people watching, talking, drinking coffee, talking, and taking in a movie...oh and some more talking.
Seattle is absolutely beautiful and bursting with holiday excitement. I just love the way the city feels and looks this time of year. I hope your weekend was filled with the fun and excitement of the holidays that are fast approaching.
